Orland Park Pioneer 2nd Annual Toy Drive 

 

Thank you to all the families that donated to our Toy Drive.    This is our Second Annual Toy Drive for Lurie Children's Hospital .  The Boys and Girls of the organization collected well over 100 toys that will be delivered to all the boys and girls at Children's Hospital.    THank you

Jerry Monnett credited with Forming community's Orland Park PIoneers remembered 

Former Orland Park Police Commissioner and Public Works Director Remembered,  Jerry Monnett is remembered for his service to the Village of Orland Park and for helping to create the Orland Park Pioneer Football Program.

Monnett, 79 Died December 28, in Ocala, Florida.  The Monnett family will receive friends at teh Robert J. Sheehy and Sons Funeral Home 9000 West 151st Stree in Orland Park on Thursday, January 15 from 4pm to 8p;m

We welcome the Pioneer players/Cheerleaders to come out at 6pm for a quick walk through to show our appreciation for his support in the organization.

Monnett and Franz are credited for starting one of the Orland's Park's longest running youth sports groups.   Jerry Monnett's tow younger sons played Pioneer Football and did two of his grandsons, Jared and Jake Monnett.   Jerry was one of the first football coaches. 

Like their father Darren, Jared and Jake Monnett are both kickers, Jared plays for Sandburg High School and Jake just recently ened his last Pioneer season being in Eight Grade.
